Either blocking D1R with SCH-23390 or knocking-down D1R CaMKII with virus in the claustrum efficiently reduces claustrum activation, and ultimately suppresses ACE-induced anxiety-like behaviors in mice. By targeting claustrum D1R CaMKII , electro-acupuncture (EA) at acupoints of GV20 and GV29 rescues ACE-increased anxiety-like behaviors in mice during adulthood.
